The Morris Minor: Tony Wood Hair’s signature wheels

You may have seen it parked outside the clocktower many a time — the Tony Wood Hair van is a rare Morris Minor, a unique beauty which we feel reflects the stylish vintage aesthetic of the salon and the historic building we’re lucky enough to find ourselves in.

The van is a godsend when we attend outdoor events, like markets and festivals, to do hair for revellers ands hoppers. It also caught the eye of some Morris Minor enthusiasts, who visited us in Portsmouth to create a short documentary film about the van!

We’ve held ‘Spot the Morris’ competition on Facebook in the past — anyone who guessed the whereabouts of the van won a free cut and blow dry!

Our Morris Minor is named Peggy, in honour of a wonderful long-term client who is sadly no longer with us.
